FRISCO, Texas — To rejoice the legacy and Hall-of-Fame career of Mike Modano, the Dallas Stars will unveil Modano’s statue on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 4 p.m. Open to the public, the unveiling ceremony will just take area on PNC Plaza at American Airways Center prior to the Stars activity from the LA Kings (7 p.m.).
“What Mike did for our franchise, the metropolis of Dallas and the state of Texas will under no circumstances be forgotten,” said Dallas Stars President and CEO Brad Alberts. “With his selection hanging in the rafters, we’re thrilled to honor and celebrate the indelible impression he designed in an everlasting way.”
Sculpted by renowned worldwide artist Omri Amrany and Sean Bell at the Wonderful Artwork Studio of Rotblatt Amrany in Highwood, Illinois, the sculpture will depict Mike demonstrating his management strategy creating a split-next successful decision. “The staff of Studio Rotblatt Amrany loved assembly Mike Modano in the course of the sculpting method which built sculpting at the situations of the significant conclusions go perfectly. We’re grateful for his assistance.”
The all-time best scoring American-born participant in the Nationwide Hockey League, Modano played 20 of his 21 seasons with the franchise following he was drafted 1st in general in 1988 by the Minnesota North Stars. Modano is the all-time franchise leader in virtually every single classification, which include video games performed (1,459), goals (557), helps (802), details (1,359), shorthanded goals (29), activity-winning targets (92) and energy-enjoy tallies (156).
An 8-time NHL All-Star and Hockey Hall-of-Fame inductee, Modano is also the American history holder in targets (561) and points (1,374) and was instrumental in helping the Stars seize the 1999 Stanley Cup championship.
